Taiwan to help Central America fight coffee fungus
Taiwan announced it is willing to an $80-million credit line to Central America to support coffee growers in their battle against coffee rust fungus, Salvadoran Minister for Agriculture Hugo Flores said.
Taiwan has an agreement with the Central American Bank for Economic Integration to make the funds available for the region, Flores said.
He added that the terms of the loan are still being examined and the amount each country would receive is not yet clear.
