Telefónica opts for Comptel platform for client support

Mobile service provider Telefónica Central America has selected Comptel's single, scalable platform to consolidate its mediation systems supporting customers in Guatemala, Panama, Nicaragua and El Salvador.

Telefónica Central America will benefit from Comptel Convergent Mediation to collect and transform more than half a billion network transactions daily into billable records.

The deal will reduce operational costs and launching new products and services with speed and ease ultimately helping to improve the customer experience, said Diego Becker, senior vice president, Latin America and Caribbean, Comptel.
