Televisa announces Cablecom acquisition

Grupo Televisa announced its acquisition of Mexico's Cablecom.

The transaction was valued at $745 million, and would strengthen Televisa's presence in the paid TV market.

The operation will be done through the purchase of 95 percent of Tenedora Ares, which controls 51 percent of Cablecom.
