Televisora de Costa Rica aims to steal a march on cell firms

While other companies are competing for the frequencies on offer for the opening of Costa Rica’s cellphone market, Televisora de Costa Rica (Teletica) has opted for a move out of left field.

 

Now Teletica aims to become a cellphone operator, offering a market alternative in mobile communications.

 

Teletica is in talks with the state-owned Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad with the aim of becoming a “virtual operator”.
