Construction at more than 100 sites throughout Honduras has been halted after members of the country’s Construction Industry Chamber, engineers and construction consultants went on strike demanding outstanding payments from the government.
Construction Industry Chamber president Alejandro Alvarez says the government’s construction and maintenance debt is about $100 million.
He said that about 125,000 workers are on strike.
