Three dead in Mexican petrochemical blast

An explosion ripped through a petrochemical plant on Mexico’s southern Gulf Coast on Wednesday, killing three people, injuring dozens and sending flames and a toxin-filled cloud into the air.
State oil company Pemex said in a statement that 30 people were hurt in the blast. Veracruz state Gov. Javier Duarte later said that the number of injured was more than 60 and that three people had lost their lives.
