Three nations breach debt limits

Central American countries closed last year with an average of debt anounting to 37.9 percent of GDP, according to a study by the Central American Institute of Fiscal Studies.

Costa Rica, El Salvador and Honduras were over the recommended limit of 40 percent of GDP. By contrast, Nicaragua and Panama reduced their commitments.
