Three new wells boost output of Colombia's Ecopetrol

State-controlled Colombian oil company Ecopetrol has confirmed three new successful wells in northwest Colombia, the Bogotá-based firm announced.

The wells are held jointly with U.S.-based Occidental Petroleum and have reached a combined 2,800 barrels of oil per day in initial testing.
