Tigo ready to enter Costa Rica phone market

Tigo (Millicom) is preparing to enter the Costa Rican mobile market by bidding for spectrum in the country’s forthcoming tender.

The operator, which provides cable and TV services under the Tigo Star brand in Costa Rica, expressed an interest in the tender for 70MHz in the 1800MHz and 1900/2100MHz bands by providing comments on the tender process announced by the country’s regulator Sutel.
