Tobacco boosts Esteli, Nicaragua economy

Nicaragua state of Estelí is one of the fastest growing regions in terms of economy in the country, said Hilario Mendoza, a construction sector business leader in that region.

He said the tobacco industry has helped boost the economy of Estelí, attracting investment and creating thousand of jobs.

That growth has helped boost other sectors, such as agriculture, trade and tourism.
