Thursday, January 31, 2013

Traffic authorities in Central America and the Caribbean met this week on plans for a driver's license that would span the region.

Costa Rica's Silvia Bolaños, explained that the goal is to unify the criteria for driver training throughout the region and ensure that standards are similar to those that exist in Costa Rica.

Bolaños said that agreements are pending on how to define specific aspects of the pact, including accreditation requirements, license types, and the minimum driving age.
