U.S. and Chile to strengthen Honduras agro exports

Tuesday, March 18, 2014

The Governments of the United States and Chile, represented by the USAID and AGCI, signed a statement of intent for technical cooperation with Honduras.

Honduras is seeking to strengthen its system of inspection and certification for agricultural exports and, especially, the management and procedures conducted by the country's agricultural health authority and the private sector.

This agreement will result in a project to design and implement a public and private system of phytosanitary inspection and certification of food safety for agricultural exports.
