U.S. and Costa Rica to boost security efforts

The U.S. embassy in Costa Rica said it will continue to support the Central American country in matters concerning security, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

The countries will work together in sea and border patrols to fight against drug traffickers, and the U.S. will provide technology and training in specialized software designed to monitor sea and land.

Both nations will also work to boost Costa Rican small enterprises' participation in the U.S.-Central America free trade agreement.
