U.S. is Honduras's number one foreign investor

The United States became Honduras's number one foreign investor, a spot previously held by Mexico, according to government data.

The U.S. invested $53.1 million in the period, while Mexico invested $39.4 million.

After the two North American countries, Luxembourg, Canada and Guatemala are Honduras's main sources of foreign investment.
