Uber faces pushback in Costa Rica

Friday, August 12, 2016

Thousands of tax drivers took to the streets around Costa Rica's capital, San Jose, this week to protest the continued operation of Uber in the country, where the ride-hailing app is working without government authorization, according to AFP.

Taxi drivers' efforts to block and obstruct vehicles on highways and major roadways snarled traffic and led to clashes with police.
