United Airlines announced plans to begin new nonstop service on several international and domestic routes in the spring, including new destinations from Chicago O'Hare airport.

New Chicago routes include weekly year-round service between Chicago O'Hare and San José, Costa Rica, subject to government approval, the airline said.

The flights, set to begin April 13, will operate using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
