United Nations predicts 5.2 percent of economic expansion by Latin American economies

The economy of Latin America and the Caribbean will likely expand by 5.2 percent in 2010, up from a previous view of 4.1 percent growth, the United Nations economic body for Latin America said.
 
The report was issued by the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (Eclac), based in Chile's capital of Santiago.
 
A table provides the forecasts for gross domestic product.
