United States wants more trade with Nicaragua

The United States would like to strengthen its ties with Nicaragua, said the American ambassador in Managua, Phylis M. Powers.

Both countries have seen growth in their bilateral trade after the implementation of the free trade agreement between Central America and the U.S.

Nicaraguan exports to the United States went from $352 million in 2006, to $769 million in 2012.
