US and Panama sign environmental cooperation pact

The United States and Panama signed an environmental cooperation agreement.

The agreement will help ensure that trade and environmental policies work together to provide greater economic opportunities for businesses and workers in both the countries, the US State Department said.

As a complement to the US-Panama Trade Promotion Agreement, the accord establishes a framework for bilateral cooperation to protect the environment and promote sustainable development.
