US boost exports of harnesses from Nicaragua

Despite strained diplomatic relations between Washington and Managua, three in four electrical harnesses that Nicaragua exports is currently sent to the United States.

In the first eight months of last year, Nicaragua sold more than 73 percent of the $408 million of harnesses that it exported.

Total harness exports, however, fell over the period, as a result of a sharp fall in sales to Mexico.
