US clothes retailer Express opens in Central America

US apparel retailer Express has revealed plans to enter Central and South America through a franchise agreement with Fastco Commercial.

Under the agreement, Express will open more than 30 stores over five years in Panama, Peru, Costa Rica, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.

Express, which operates more than 600 stores, expects to open the three stores in Panama, Peru, and Costa Rica by the end of the fourth quarter.
