US Geothermal in price pact on Guatemala project

American company US Geothermal announced it signed a memorandum of understanding to sell energy from its El Ceibillo geothermal project in Guatemala.
US Geothermal will sell the energy to one of Central America's largest electricity distributors, although the name of the distributor was not released.
The contract is for 50 megawatts over 15 years at the region's standard prices, currently at $145 per megawatt hour.
