US Geothermal to build $120 million Honduran plant

Monday, December 3, 2012

American company US Geothermal has spotted an investment opportunity in Honduras, a country where geothermal energy has been largely left unexploited.

US Geothermal plans to start construction of a new plant in the region of Amatitlán next year.

The plant, which is expected to have a capacity to generate up to 25 megawatts, will cost some $120 million.
