US labor secretary Hilda Solís launches visit to Nicaragua with focus on textiles

The US labor secretary, Hilda Solís, arrived in Nicaragua for a visit that includes a program to study labor practices and supply chains, especially in the textile industry.
 
Solís, the first Latina to have a post in the US presidential cabinet, aims to meet government officials and business leaders and trade union officials from the free zones.
 
Solís, born in the United States of a Mexican father and Nicaraguan mother, is to have meetings with her Nicaraguan counterpart, Jeannette Chávez.
