US monitors Russia-Nicaragua accord

Russia is building a new embassy complex, anti drug training center and satellite station in Nicaragua this year. That's on top of providing new military equipment to the former Cold War ally.

President Vladimir Putin signed a new security agreement with Nicaragua's President Daniel Ortega. NPR reports on Putin's expansion and a shipment of weapons into the U.S.'s backyard.
