Varela boosts consular ties in China

The president of Juan Carlos Varela announced on Sunday, during his visit to China, he will inaugurate consulates of Panama in Guangzhou and Hong Kong and will also participate in events that seek to promote tourism and investment

After China, the president will move to Japan and in Tokyo, will meet Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and, accompanied by in the company of the first lady Lorena Castillo, will have a meeting with Emperor Akihito and Empress Míchiko.

Varela returns to Panama on April 6, Newsroom Panama reports.
