Vestas secures order for Guatemala wind project

Danish manufacturer Vestas has secured an order for hardware at the 53 Megawatt San Antonio wind farm in Guatemala.

The contract with Eólico San Antonio El Sitio and Wind Turbine Investments, which is for the first wind facility in the nation, covers 16 turbines, each with a 3.3 Megawatt capacity.

Deliveries will start in the fourth quarter and the plant is expected to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2015.
