Visitors to Central America up by 10 percent in 2010

The number of foreign visitors to Central America increased by 10.8 percentage in 2010 compared to the previous year.

According to preliminary figures provided by the tourism ministries of the seven countries, a total of 11.8 million visitors arrived last year.

Overall, 706,000 European tourists visited the region, mostly from Spain.
