Friday, August 17, 2012

Walmart launched construction of its largest distribution center in the region, a building with an area of 49,493 square meters, located in Alajuela, Costa Rica, near the San José airport.

The new center, which will begin operations in the first half of 2013, comes at a cost of $68 million.

The company says the facility will allow greater centralization of suppliers and provide greater product availability in the stores.
