Walmart quarterly net profit remains solid but flat

Walmart de México y Centroamérica reported net profits for the third quarter that came to $450 million almost exactly the same as a year earlier.

The chain, usually referred to as Walmex, reported an 8.5 percent in net sales for the period from January through September.

During the third quarter, Walmex opened 15 stores in Mexico off which 12 were to the Bodegas Aurrera format. In Central America, it opened 10 stories of which 10 were Tiendas de Descuento.
