Women in Costa Rica fight for top technology jobs

 

Women make up 30 percent of the workforce in Costa Rica’s technology sector, but few have been hired as engineers.

At least in part, the problem lies with the higher education sector, where women tend to be encouraged to follow liberal professions while men go for science and technology.
