Work to restart on Panama Canal expansion

GUPC, the Sacyr-led consortium working on the Panama Canal expansion, announced it will restart work on the project.

"The fact that they will restart work is extraordinary news," said Spanish Industry, Energy and Tourism Minister José Manuel Soria.

But the Canal Authority said there are still key topics to be discussed, such as delivery dates for the third set of locks and a new project calendar.
