World Bank provides $400 million in finance for higher education in Costa Rica

The World Bank announced that it has pledged $400 million in loans between next year and 2015 to support improvements to higher education in Costa Rica.
With the money, Costa Rica will be able to support public universities, with improved infrastructure and better teaching and research, the Finance ministry said.
The program forms part of the bank’s strategic alliance with Costa Rica as part of a drive to make the nation more competitive.
