Zuluaga and Santos go to presidential runoff

 

Former Colombian Finance minister Oscar Ivan Zuluaga and President Juan Manuel Santos will face each other in a runoff election scheduled for June 15.

Both candidates fell short of reaching 50 percent of the vote necessary to avoid a runoff.

With most of the votes counted, Zuluaga obtained 29 percent, while Santos got 25 percent of the vote.
