Central America awaits Mexico to form power market

Central America is waiting for Mexico's new government to the improvements that are needed by both parties to improve the relations and interconnections between Mexico's state utility, the CFE, and the Central American regional power market, the CDMER.

In practice, this means imports of Mexican power in Guatemala that are then reexported to El Salvador.

What needs to be resolved is how the Mexican power can be distributed throughout Central America, not only by means of the Guatemalan interconnection.
