Central American factories export $2 billion in exports with half of all Hanes sales

Central American garment factories exported almost 50 percent of sales for US apparel company Hanes.

El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic are the bases of companies linked to Hanes in the region.

The four countries combined exported $2 billion in yearly sales, almost 50 percent of the company's international sales.
