The report on the Index of Human Capital published yesterday at the meeting of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, reveal shortcomings in some Central American countries. On the contrary, Costa Rica is number one in the Central American ranking and number two in the whole of Latin America, where Chile is the leader. The Costa Rican index is 0.62, Panama and Nicaragua 0.53, El Salvador 0.50, Honduras 0.49 and Guatemala 0.46.
