Costa Rica's electric train aims to get back on track
Wednesday 21 November, 2018
The government of Costa Rica aims to provide a concession for its planned electric train to be operational by 2022, which means a tender for nest year.
Meanwhile, what amounts to a feasibility study says that the $1.2 billion project will cover only current costs, such as wages, power and maintenance, but not the infrastructure.
And ticket prices will have to be competitive. If prices are high, people will simply not use the train.
