India stars in Colombia textile fair

Colombia's big textile fair, Colombiatex de las Américas, is reckoned to have netted $480 million of business opportunities, well ahead of its $300 million target.

With 41 companies on show, India has the biggest delegation in the show. The Indian textile industry chiefs said that they were massively impressed by the Colombian industry, mainly because it wants raw materials, which is exactly what the Indians want to sell.

"If you export to Colombia, you are exporting to all of Latin America," one of the indians said.
