The new terminal two at Tocumen airport in Panamá, known as "the Hub of the Americas", is programmed to launch operations in January.

The $800 million project is right on schedule, said Tocumen S.A., which operates the airport.

"As of January, for the World Youth Festival, the new terminal will be operating with five boarding bays on a temporary basis, and by the end of the year it will be fully operational," said the operator's vice-president, Mario Caparroso.
