Sale of energy company boosts Colombia FDI
Tuesday 28 March, 2017
Foreign direct investment in Colombia increased 15.8 percent in 2016, almost entirely because of the $2 billion sale of energy company Isagen to Canadian asset manager Brookfield.
Total FDI went from $11.7 billion to $13.6 billion, meaning FDI would have slightly dropped had it not been because of the mega sale of one of the country’s largest energy producers.
