Tourism is growing fast in El Salvador

El Salvador welcomed 2.5 million foreign tourists last year, a 17 percent increase on 2017, while tourism earnings rose by 16 percent to $1.47 billion.

"We've consolidated El Salvador as a destination, and the statistics show that we're heading in the right direction, said José Napoleón Duarte, the Tourism minister.

According to the World Travel and Tourism Council, El Salvador has more than 100,000 jobs in the tourism sector,
