Foreign investment in Costa Rica surges by 52 percent

Foreign direct investment in Costa Rica grew by 52 percent to $1.11 billion in the first half of the year.\

The improvement is significant given that the last three years have been difficult times for foreign investment because of the international financial crisis.\
\
This year’s increase is linked to the arrival of new investments, and increases in existing ones, in call centers, service centers and computing.\
