$112 million in wave of Panama shopping malls

Panama is receiving a wave of investment of more than $112 million in the construction of new malls around the country.

Most of the malls are being built in Panama City, particularly the Bella Vista sector, with $37 million of the total, according to the
Chamber of Commerce.

Trade in the country grew almost 10 percent during the first seven months of the year, compared to the same period last year, according to official data.
