$2 billion boost for fight against organized crime

The international community backed Central America’s fight against organized crime with $2 billion in aid and lending.
At the close of the regional security conference in Guatemala City, donor countries and international organizations committed to release the funds over five years.
Central America will jointly confront organized crime by means of projects and programs supported by the new funds.
