$660 million Costa Rican highway plan could be revived by Colombian investors

Tuesday, January 11, 2011

A project in Costa Rica that a group of Colombian investors proposed more than two years ago could be revived. The project is the construction of a highway to the Caribbean.

The plan is to be evaluated in view of the heavy volume of traffic and the constant landslides that beset existing roads.

The scheme that the Colombians proposed in 2008 involved 67 kilometers of highway with an investment of $660 million.
