$70 billion in remittances with Central America in the vanguard

Latin American emigrants sent home $70 billion last year in remittances, an 8 percent increase on 2015. And the leading countries for reception were Mexico, Colombia and the Central American nations of Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.
Despite all the rhetoric of the new US administration, Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras received a total of almost $16 billion.
