$700 million invested in Nicaragua mining
Companies, both foreign and national, invested some $700 million in Nicaragua’s mining industry over the last decade, according to the nation’s promotion agency, ProNicaragua.
And, the agency adds, the country has plenty of room to spare for prospection. Already gold is earning up to $400 million a year in exports, while wages are relatively good, at about four time the national minimum.
