$80 million scheme to boost El Salvador airport

The autonomous authority on ports and airports of El Salvador has revived plans to expand the nation’s international airport with a $80 million investment.
The work would begin at the end of next year, according to a feasibility study that aims of double the terminal’s capacity to 4 million passengers a year.
According to the plans, the number of operations by the airlines will also double to 50 a day landings and take-offs.
