$1.7 billion in public works boost Costa Rican economy

After years of waiting, a major program of public works has been launched in Costa Rica.
A total of four major projects involve investment of some $1.7 billion.
A mega-port on the Caribbean, a new highway and the widening of two others will set the agenda.
